MAN’S “BORROWING BUG” THIRD OFFENDER GAOLED Eric Malcoimson Biel, aged 31, cannot resist the temptation to convert motor-cars to his own use. AT the Police Court to-day he pleaded guilty to a charge of converting a car to his own use, and stealing petrol valued at Ss Bd. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused entered a garage where he had been working, and took out a new °ar. He drove to a house in Parnell. *here he was arrested. The Rev. Jasper Calder, speaking on accused’s behalf, said he was one of the best mechanics in the country, but he was easily led. “I see this is his third offence,” remarked the magistrate, as he sentenced accused to three months’ imprisonment.
