HUMAN SACRIFICES MILLIONS PUT TO DEATH By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Tuesday. To ensure the success of the Russian revolution more than three million men and women have been sent to the scaffold in the last ten years. The Berlin correspondent of the “Morning Post” states that in the course of the recent celebrations in Russia the Soviet published exact details of the victims sacrificed. These show that 1,766,000 people of both sexes had been executed up to September, 1921. The victims referred to included 7.000 teachers, 9,000 doctors. 350,000 intellectuals, 1,200 priests, 260,000 soldiers and 815 peasants. The “Berliner Boersen Zeitung” says it is able to bring these figures up to date from Russian official returns. These show that 38,000 executions were carried out in 1922, 112,000 in 1923 (the increase being due to the peasants’ revolt), 80,000 in 1924 (chiefly in connection with the revolt in Georgia), 14.000 in 1925, 3,000 in 1926, and 9,574 in 1927. of whom 180 were officers or nobles alleged to have been connected with British espionage. The total sacrificed to the Soviet Moloch is 2,041,000 apart from another 1,000,000 killed without trial by the secret police.—A. and N.Z. SK $6 3K Vk.Vk &
