During the voyage of the Arawa from Liverpool a serious and difficult operation was performed on a woman passenger. The ship’s surgeon, Mr. R. Upton, who performed the operation, is pictured above with one o i the stewards who was of great assistance to him. Passengers and crew both said the highest tributes to Mr. Upton's work. The Arawa arrived this morning.
