MOUNT EDEN SPEED LIMIT
TWELVE MILES AN HOUR The traffic inspector’s recommendation to the Mount Eden Borough Council last eevning, that the speed limit of 12 miles an hour on certain roads be established, was adopted. The roads affected are: Mount Eden Road, between Landscape Road West and Peary Road; Balmoral Road, between Mount Eden Road and Henley Road; and Dominion Road, between the north-west corner of Potter’s Park and Rocklands Avenue. It was stated that it was not intended rigidly to enforce the speed limit. Cars going at reasonable speeds would not be prosecuted.
