FRENCH NOT THRILLED WITH GREYHOUND RACING
By Cable. —Press Association. — -Copyright. PARIS, Monday. Frenchmen were introduced to greyhound racing at Velodrome d’Hiver. There was no betting, as permission to use the pari mutuel (totalisator) has not yet been obtained. The newspapers say there is nothing in the sport to arouse emotion in the French. The absence of any individual effort on the part of the dogs to defeat their opponents robbed the races of any interest.—A. and N.Z.
