CANDIDATES' ATTITUDE ON PROHIBITION
SENATOR BORAH’S CAMPAIGN
By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. Rec. 9.5 a.m. WASHINGTON, Monday Senator W. E. Borah has begun a campaign to place on record the views of ail candidates for Republican Presidential nomination regarding prohibition.
He has sent Senator Curtis a public letter asking his attitude and has announced that he intends sending a similar letter to all Republican candidates.
Senator Borah asked Senator Curti3 whether he favoured the Prohibition plank in the Republican platform, alssv what would be his attitude toward enforcement if elected, also whether he would favour an executive programme to enable States to determine the alcoholic content of liquor sold within their borders, and also whether he would favour the repeal of the Volstead Act or of the 18th Amendment. —A. and N.Z.
