EX-OFFICER’S SUICIDE
SHOT IN FRONT OF MIRROR An inquest was held at Wavendon. J near Woburn Sands, Buckinghamshire, I recently, on Mr. Frederick Lyons I Lovett, aged 28. of Wavendon Lodge ■ formerly a lieutenant in the Dragoon I r ,uart * s > who was found shot in the bead in front of a mirror, f It was stated that he was preparing I to attend the funeral of an aunt about I the time of his death. His butler said I that he entered the room for instrucI tions and found Lovett collapsed in a I * n * ron t of a mirror. He was jjt Dlee ding from a head wound and held a I revolver in one hand. I Other members of the household | staff said that Mr. Lovett had returned 1 u° m ee <ling some favourite pigeons ■! shortly before his death. ■ -Mr. Lovett., it was stated, had been ■ receiving constant medical attention | for neurasthenia. A lote left by him B®. n . a slip of paper was almost inde- ■ cipherable. It is understood that it ■ a few scrawled words to | Ul i. effect that his mind had gone. j The verdict was suicidt while of un- | sou n( j mind, no doubt due to war ser- ■ V vr an< * neiir asthenia. j| Mr. Lovett had a large number of ■ rr.houses and they were lit by elec- ■ tricity at ce . tain times of the night |jo induce the hens to lay more.
