BABY TORN FROM ARMS OF MOTHER A TERRIBLE STORY By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. RIGA, Monday. A pack of starving wolves pursued a woman, who with her baby, was driving a sledge. She drove desperately, but nearing a village, the horse collapsed. Cries brought out the peasants, but not in time to prevent the wolves from tearing the baby from her arms and devouring it before the mother’s eyes, and badly mauling the woman.—A. and N.Z.-Sun.
