THIS WEEK’S MEETING j The Management Committee of the M aipa Rugby Union met at Te Awamutu on Monday evening. Mr. F. Quin presided and there were also m attendance Messrs. G. Melrose. H. T. Haselden, E. T. Crump, G. F.eynoldh Jeffs and Cavanagb. Two players, Crozier and Long who were selected to travel with the junior reps, to Auckland, wrote apologising for. failing to put iri an appearance, explaining that a rush of work had prevented them from making the trip. It was then too late to notifv the management. Discussion arose as to the advisability of sending a club team to Ragan and a rep. team to Otorohanga on Saturday next. It was decided to send a senior rep. team to Otorohanga and that the Lnited Club be given permission to travel to Raglan. Mr. Mairs. manager of the junior rep, team last Saturday, reported hav-
ing met the Auckland visitors, Th* chairman had been informed that tre union could look forward to die visit being an annual fixture. The fol owing team was chostr to play Otorohangi on Saturday: Jones, Grigg, Bremner, Short. Bell, PaviV Spiers, Kay. Hislop Walker. Cairo. Storey-, Fergus Bayne and Asp*»* Emergencies: Backs. Beet.
