DRIVER’S PRESENCE OF MIND The presence of mind of the driver of a motor-lorry belonging to winstone, Ltd., carriers, saved a motorcyclist from serious injury this morning. At 10.20 a.m. a Douglas motor-cycle was proceeding along Pitt Street. At the intersection of Cook Street the motor-lorry, in order to avoid a collision, dashed on to the footpath, missing a telegraph pole by inches. No damage was done, but the m9torcyclist had a lucky escape.
