BUSY WEEK-END HEARING PERFECT Now that the inter-island telephone service is becoming better known business is increasing rapidly. Buring the week-end the telephone was in almost constant us*. Many calls went through from Auckland to the South Island, and a large number of Christchurch and other South Island station calls came through to Auckland. It is believed that the authorities are pushing ahead the preparations for linking up with Hunedin by day. Everyone who used the inter-island telephone was enthusiastic about its clearness. Hearing was perfect.
