LAUNCH ENDANGERED ROPE FOULS PROPELLER Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Through a rope fouling the propeller, a motor-boat became unmanageable on the Sumner bar yesterday. The four men aboard made desperate signals for assistance, as the sea was very rough. After a good deal of trouble a lifeboat got a tow-rope aboard, and effected a rescue amid the cheers from hundreds of people who watched the incident.
