MARKET IN GOOD TONE KAWARAUS FIRMER Except for a small non-quotable parcel of inscribed stock, no business was done at the first call on the ’Change this morning. Buyers came in during the morning, however, and good Monday business was reported at the midday call. The demand continues to be confined chiefly to the better classes of securities with the market for Government and local body bonds and debentures, especially, in good tone. Mining is mostly idle. Kawaraus are in slightly better demand, but no solid business is recorded, and any scrip changing hands passes chiefly to speculators.
