BOY NEARLY DROWNED

A narrow escape from drowning occurred in Whangarei on Thursday, when a little lad, four years of age, son of Adjutant Lawyer, of the Salvation Army, fell into a creek. His companion, about the same age, ran home and told his mother, Mrs. L. Beehre, who rescued the drowning lad in an unconscious condition.
