NOT IDLE
THE Auckland Cup winner, Talaro, although spending a holiday on Owner Lindsay’s property in Canterbury, is not allowed to idle away the time. He is being given light tasks, preparatory to returning to F. Holmes’ care to be finished off for the national week trotting gathering. Talaro will also be given a special preparation for this year’s big cup in November. Although the son of Great Audabon has placed records of 4.24 3-5 (fourth) and 4.28 4-5 (third) his best winning time is 4.31, put up when he won the big heat at Alexandra Park last December.
