BRISK BUSINESS BOON TO COMMERCIAL MEN Business is brisk with the mterisland telephone service. IN exchange for a few shillings Auckland has been talking to the South Island, and the South Island has been talking to Auckland. That the new service is appreciated is shown by the fact that the line has been in almost constant use since it was inaugurated on Tuesday. Hearing is good and the service is working perfectly. There has been a heavy demand on the line across Cook Strait from Wellington, particularly by the commercial community. The swift method of communication is proving a boon to business men.
