EIGHT INJURED

EARLY MORNING SMASH WELLINGTON COLLISION Press Asaociaftoit. WELLINGTON, To-day. A collision between .a motor-car driven by William Carter, of Grass Street, and a car driven by Spencer E. W. Furrell. of Lower Hutt. occurred at the intersection of Mnlesworth Street and Lambton Quay at 2.30 this morning. Furrell’s machine turned over on its side. Miss R. Murphy. Sydney Street West, sustained cuts about the head and arms and she was taken to the hospital, but her condition is not serious. Mrs. Hugh Anderson Moles worth Street. had her collarbone broken and was also removed to hospital and afterwards sent home. Max Lemmer. of Lower Hutt, received injuries to his head ar.d was taken to the hospital, but bis condition is not serious. Furrell was cut about th* face and head, but after receiving medical attention he was able to return home. Mr. and Mrs. N. Taylor, of Petone, H. Anderson and W. Carter sustained minor cuts and bruises. Several others escaped without injur: . Both cars were badly damaged.
