FIRE AT HOKITIKA
FACTORY DESTROYED Press Association. HOKITIKA, To-day. A destructive fire at two o’clock this morning destroyed Hime's tearooms and the New Zealand Clothing Factory premises. A strong westerly gale was blowing and many adjoining premises w r ere endangered. The brigade was assisted by the splendid water supply and brilliantly effected a fine save of John Breeze’s shop and residence on one side and Collyer’s laundry on the other, which were scorched and damaged by water. All the contents of Sime’s and the factory were destroyed.
