DR. E. P. NEALE AND THE INDUSTRIALISTS
I CONTROVERSY ENDED WINTER SHOW SPACE The controversy between the Auckland Provincial Industrial Association and Dr. E. P. Neale was settled in % letter read at the meeting of the general committee of the association yesterday. The Industrial Assosiation had asked Dr. Neale whether a recent lecture he gave, in which he said that New Zealand was not destined to become a great industrial country, had been correctly reported. Dr. Neale’s reply confirmed the re. port, but stated that the interpretations of it in the columns of the Press were not necessarily correct. The letter was received. Mr. J. a. C. Allum. presiding, said that Dr.* Neale had made it clear that he had stated his views as a private citizen, and not as secretary of the Chamber of Commerce. Mr. J. Findlay reported that all the space available for the Winter Exhibition had been already booked up. A loud speaker would be installed to broadcast music and speeches. It could be used to advertise the holding of a demonstration at any particular stand, or to get in touch with any person wanted from the crowds present.
