PRESENTATION
Mr. Wilfred Thompson was farewelled by his many friends and fellow workers on Saturday evening at Pakahi.
During the evening Mr. Thompson was the recipient of a walking-stick made from native wood, a silvermounted tobacco pouch, and a set of pipes, as a mark of esteem and goodwill in which he was held by his many friends. In making the presentation Mr. Plunket, on behalf of those present, referred to Mr. Thompson’s sterling qualities and wished him boa voyage and every success. Mr. Thompson, who leaves shortly for England, will spend a short holiday in Sydney.
