MR. H. GOODFELLOW’S DEATH A link with early Auckland was broken on Saturday b'y the death of Mr. Hugh Goodfellow, of Mount Roskill, at the age of 87. Born in Sydney, Mr. Goodfellow lived at Port Nicholson, and later in Auckland. With his brother he took up a block of land at Te Awamutu. They retired about 20 years ago and bought a property at Panmure. Mr. Goodfellow was a staunch supporter of the Presbyterian Church, and gave most liberally to its charities. He was an uncle of Mr. William Goodfellow, of Auckland. The late Mr. Goodfellow never married, and is survived by a sister, Mrs. Helen Baird, of Fairview, Otahuhu, who is in her 92nd year.
