Lion de Belfort is a wide place on the left bank of the Seine, and is marked by a high figure of a lion in the very centre of the Place, and it has been the custom for manv years to hold a yearly fair which is attended by the rich and poor, and the young and old of Paris. There are merry-go-rounds, side-shows, games of chance, games of skill, rides of all kinds, and everything else that has ever been included in an old-fashioned country fair.

Rex Ingram took his entire company to Paris in order to work in the Fair of Lion de Belfort, and they were one of the attractions of the celebrations during the time they were there. Alice Terry. Paul Wegener, Firmin Gemier, and Ivan Petrovich enact the leading parts in “The Magician,” which was adapted by Rex Ingram from the Somerset Maugham story of the same name. The entire production was made in Europe.
