BORSTAL FOR TWO BOYS
SENTENCES AT WAIHI TWO OTHERS ADMONISHED (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, To-day. Two boys appeared before Mr. G. W. Platts, S.M., ’in the juvenile court at Waihi this morning, one on remand charged with breaking, entering and thefts from gas meters, and the other charged with theft. Both boys were severely admonished and placed on probation for 12 months, the boy concerned in the gas meter thefts being ordered to make restitution. Two other youths who were before the court previously, appeared on remand, one charged with breaking, entering and thefts from gas meters, and the other with the theft of a watch. Both were committed to the Borstal Institute for three years.
