The president of the Auckland Emnlovers’ Association, Mr. A. Spencer, is on a business trip to Tauranga and the Bay of Islands.

Father Bowen returned from Sydney this morning by the Maheno after a three months’ health trip to Australia.

Mr. G. Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, will resume his civic duties within the next few days.

Mr. N. B. McMorran, who is an assistant traffic manager of the Canadian pacific Railways, is travelling to Vancouver by the Aorangi.

The chief auditor of the Bank of Xew Zealand, Mr. A. P. Green, arrived at the Hotel Cargen from Wellington yesterday. He left for Fiji by the Aorangi this morning.

Owing to the indisposition of the Mayor, Mr. George Baildon, Dr. Alexander Goldstein, the Zionist Missioner, will be officially welcomed to Auckland at noon to-morrow by the DeputyMayol*, Mr. A. J. Entrican.

Mr. L. C. E. Hamann and Mrs. Hamann have arrived in Auckland after a two years’ tour of Great Britain, North America, the Continent and Australia. Mr. Hamann was formerly chief accountant of the New Zealand Railways.

Messrs. A. W. Mitchell and J. J. Paterson, late of the Napier staff of James J. Niven and Company, Ltd., left by the Moeraki from Wellington, en route to Castlemaine, Victoria, to take up an appointment with the Thompson Engineering and Pipe Company, Ltd.
