CRACKED CONCRETE
FLAWS IN BASEMENT CONFERENCE OF ENGINEERS Engineers conferred this morning to discuss flaws which have appeared in the basement of Short’s buildings, Queen Street. The cracks are attributed to blasting which has been carried on during the excavation on the site of the new Colonial Assurance building, across the street, and have allowed water to enter Short’s basement during wet weather.
