BOMBING-PLANES FOR UNITED STATES NAVY
A LARGE CONTRACT By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. The Washington correspondent of the “Times” says the United States Government has let a contract to the Glenn Martin Aeroplane Company, to build 54 bombing and torpedo planes of -a new design for the American Navy. The cost is said to be £300,000. The United States Navy has also taken an option to purchase 96 planes of the same type within five weeks.— Times.
