COUNCILLORS COLLIDE
Two men, prominent in Whangarei public life, Messrs. J. A. S. Mackay, of the County Council, and E. G. W. Tibbits. of the Borough Council, were concerned in a motor collision at Wilkinson’s corner, Kamo, on Thursday Mr. C. Stockley. with Mr. J. Pilkington, was driving Mr. Tibbits’s car into Whangarei, when a car driven by Mr. Mackay, and containing three lady passengers, collided with it. Both wheels on the right side of Mr. Tbibits’s car werC buckled and the running board was torn off, but the other vehicle escaped lightly. Mr. Stockley, who was injured on the head and leg, was the only person hurt.
