FLOGGED BY REFEREES THE LONDON CASE (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, Wednesday. The Wanganui Referees’ Association is determined to “die hard.” Although the New Zealand Rugby Union has declared that Mr. P. London, referee, was wrongfully disqualified last year in the Technical College-Te Aute game, and the Wanganui Sub-Union also removed the disqualification, the local Referees’ Association, primarily responsible for the disqualification being recorded, discussed the matter further last night and finally appointed a sub-committee to. go into the evidence submitted to the New Zealand Union and report. The general opinion is that the Referees’ Association is flogging a dead horse, which should have been buried long before the last football season ended.
