MASTER CARRIERS
DELEGATES MEET Delegates to the annual conference of the New Zealand Master Carriers’ Federation have succeeded in combining both business and pleasure during their short visit to Auckland. The main points dealt with by the conference were: Representation on the New Zealand Railways Advisory Board, the Motor Vehicles Act, the Motor Lorry Regulations, and the classic'lltion of roads by local bodies. It was decided to hold the next annual conference at Christchurch. On Wednesday night the visitors were entertained at dinner at the Royal Hotel by the Auckland Master Carriers’ Association, and afterwards attended His Majesty’s Theatre. During a motor tour to-day the visitors were shown various points of interest in the city and suburbs. Most of tiie delegates leave to-night by the Limited. The following officers have been elected for the ensuing year:—President. Mr. W. A. Phillips. Auckland; vice-presidents, Mr. R. M- Griffiths, Wellington, and Mr. E. Smith, Christchurch: executive committee, Messrs \Y. D. Irons, Wellington; J. Munt. Wellington; A. J. Curtis, Wellington. E Craig. Auckland: H. T. Wise, Christchurch: W. J. Harridge, Dunedin; G L. Thomas. Masterton: lion, auditor. Mr. W. J. Blythe, Dunedin: representative on the executive committee of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, Mr. It. M. Griffiths. . _
