HUGE TRADING LOSSES
SYDNEY TAXI COY’S AFFAIRS To enable the management to start the new trading year on a sound basis an amount totalling £27,485 has been written off by the Black and White Cab Company of Sydney. A trading loss of £10,282, amount written off cabs and certain goodwill, £14,875 and £2;34S on account of preliminary expenses make up the total. The primary cause of the loss is said to be inability to run the ears without spending an abnormal amount on repairs. With a subscribed capital of £67,375, there is a bank overdraft of £12,610. Creditors amount to £8,553. Assets amount to £61,035, of which garage premises are down at £24,654 and cabs £31,332. IRON VALVES An announcement of interest to builders and traders comes from the Home manufacturers this week, to the effect that the price of English corrugated iron has been reduced £1 a ton. _ _ _ ..
