SPEECH BY SIR JAMES PARR LIVING CHEAP AND COMFORTABLE By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 12.5 S p.m. LONDON, Sunday. Sir James Parr, who opened the Ipswich Empire Exhibition and Shopping Week, in replying to the toast of “The Empire,” at the civic lunch said that there were many openings in New Zealand for men with small capital. Living was cheap and comfortable and there were excellent educational facilities for children. The mayor, in presenting Sir James with a replica of an ancient Bible stool, said that he had lived in New Zealand for several years.—Sun.
