Although final arrangements for the taking of the poll have not yet been completed considerable progress has been made with the preparations for it, and it is hoped that every ratepayer will have received a voting paper within three weeks. More than 21.000 ratepayers owning property within the board's area are to be circularised, and local bodies expect that the total vote cast will be a very big one, possibly exceeding 16.0C0 or 17,000.
