CARDIFF DAIRYING. —— Decrease In Cheese Manufacture Last Season. n 221 TONS OF BUTTER. The annual payment to suppliers t 0 the Cardiff Co.op. Dairy Factory Co., Ltd., was 12.78 d per lb. butterfat, stated the annual report of the Company, presented tp the annual meeting of shareholders, held at Cardiff last night. When the report and balance-sheet were compiled unsold produce totalled 470 crates of cheese. 310 crates, when shipped, had been valued at 60s 3d a cwt., and 160 at 6£lb f.o.b. Suppliers had been .advanced Hid 1 rer lb. for the season. The balance j available for distribution was estimat. led at £3317 5s lOd, equivalent l to" | I.2Sd per lb. , Cheese manufactured amounted to G 34 tons, against 657 tons for the prtvious year. Butter made was set down at 22J tons, compared with 18* tons in the 1934-35 season.
The report and balance-sheet was adopted without discussion.
