Increase Shown In Stratford Railway Figures. FEWER BOBBY CALVES. Despite the fact that the New Plymouth Hunt Club's meeting was postponed, the passenger returns for the week ending yesterday furnished by; the stationmaster, Mr R. J. Bowie, to The Post this morning, show an increase of 38 for the corresponding period last year. The comparative figures are:—l936, 94G; 1935, 908. Goods transported by rail from Stratford increased by approximately 245 tons, and this was due partly to the consignments of lime from the Gordon Road works, which lately recommenced operationsTraffic in bobby calves this season.' has decreased considerably' owing to the new regulations governing the size of the calves.
