FACTORY AT CARDIFF. Considered To Be Soundest In Dominion. INCREASED RETURNS. "I do not know of any company that is better founded financially that the Cardiff Company," said the chairman, Mr C. A. Marchant, at the annual meeting of the Cardiff Co-operative Dairy Company, a t Cardiff, last night.

"I must congratulate shareholders on the much improved returns for dairy produce during the past season, which has meant an increase of slightly more than 1% per lb. on but ttrfat as far as our own company is concerned, and this figure can be regarded as an added net return," continued the chairman. "I think that the stimulus has been piovied by the increase of industrial activity, due to Great Britain's rearmament for defence purposes; which bad fallen perilously low and caused the gravest anioty for the safety of the nation during the past 12 months. "Can the position be rectified in! time? We all devoutly hope so. However, a policy of rearmament cannot be described as a return to commercial stability and fair exchange of goods on which the prosperity of the whole world is based."
