Sprightly song hits abound in the mirthful action of "Anything Goes," the Paramount new contribution to the gaiety of the screen, which will start its engagement to-day at the Plaza Theatre. This screen version of the original Broadway hits boasts; the popular songs by Cole Porter that I made this play the most sought after musical of the year. Ethel Merman sings "Anything Goes" and "I Get a Kick Out of You." With Bing Crosby she sings "You're the Top," with parodies on that song furore of ali time that made America top-consci-ous. Others in the cast are Charlie Ruggles, Ida Lupino and Grace Bradley. Bing Crosby finds himself rboavd an ocean going liner, with the borrowed passport of a public enemy in his pocket. He must elude the .ship's officers while searching for a beautiful siranger whom he believes to be in distress.
