FIRST ROUND RECORDS
Three Leading Teams In North Now Level. KAPONGA STILL UNBEATEN. Kaponga is now the only undefeated team in the Taranaki senior championship, having a record of six, wins and a draw. In the North the three leading teams—Stratford, Clifton and Tukapa—-have each tuff ere d' one loss. The much improved United Old Boys and the hardy Inglewood side are likely to be the closest opponents of. the North leaders in the second round. In the touthern division Hawera, with six wins and one defeat is a point behind Kaponga, and the competition looks to be between this pair, with Okaiawa, which is four points further back, but has one game yet to play, the only one likely to be in the running. Opunake, Patea, Waimate and Athletic are all liable to beat the leaders, but are too far behind to tupplant them. Like New Plymouth'.Old Boys, Eltham has not won a match. The points tables are:
