Germany Refortifying Demilitarised Heligoland.

Germany is refortifying Heligoland, which was permanently demilitarised under the Versailles Treaty, says the naval correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. The work is reported to be proceeding with the utmost energy. A new harbour is being constructed and powerful batteries awj being installed. Other fierman North Sea islands that are refortifled and heavily armed are Borkum ana Waraderoog, which guard the entrance to the Wilhelmshaven naval base. Norderney and Sylt are also reported to be strongly defended.
