Plans Decided On By Borough Council. ... j ■ill it UP-TO-DATE FACILITIES Stratford should be one of the best provided and up-to dale country towns in New Zealand as far as swimming facilities go When the new municipal baths which are expected to be ready for this season are completed. The design of Mr S. G. Chaplin, A.R.1.8.A., architect, of Hastings, was approved by the Borough Counc'l last night, and the tenders for the work will be called shortly. Two pools are to be provided tor in the baths, a main pool measuring 100£t. by 45ft., and a smaller pool for children measuring 45ft. by 2,5 ft. On the north side, a grandstand running the length of the main lath "■• provided for. This will accommodate up to 850 poople. In f ont of the stand loom is left for a strip of lawn for sun bathing. At the east end of the mail bath there will be a fountain which will be used fcr aerating the water.
