CYCLIST'S GRAB RAID

YOUNG WOMAN'S HANDBAG STOLEN AT AUCKLAND

Press Association —Copyright Auckland, April 30

A young man on a bicycle snatched a woman’s handbag in Epsom Avenue about 10.30 last night. He rode off and has not been traced.

Miss Helen Fraser, of Mount Eden, was opposite the Mount Eden bowling green when her handbag was snatched from her hand. She made an exclamation, thinking for a moment that it was some young man playing a joke but when she saw the cyclist pedalling fast down the street her surprise turned to dismay and she called for help. It was all in vain. The handbag did not contain money but in it were the keys of her house. She believes that the cyclist was masked.
