SAFEGUARDING DUTIES WILL EXPIRE IN 1936 Press Association— Copyright London, April 30. Safeguarding duties on 6000 articles, mainly vital necessities in the manufacture of war material, are due to expire on August 19, 1936.
The Board of Trade has appointed a committee to consider the position then arising, and whether the duties should continue or whether there should be rebates, and whether other articles should be made dutiable.
