Miss Dorothy Ross has returned from. Now Plymouth.
XXX Mrs. T. H. Peim and Miss Hops Penn, have returned from Auckland.
X• X X Mrs. F. Stephens has returned from a holiday spent at Auckland.
Mrs. G. Knight and Miss Audrey Knight, are spending a holiday in Wellington. xxx Miss M. Moore has returned to Hamilton after being .the guests of Mrs. H. C. Dixon, Broadway South, xxx Mr. and Mrs. S. McGregor have returned from Auckland where they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McGregor, Remuera.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Wilson left, during the week for Sydney and Melbourne where .they will spend a holiday.
Mrs. W. Charles Wellington is the guest of her sister Mrs. V. Johnson, Opunake Road.
An enjoyable time was spent, at the Basket Ball Club members flag five hundred curd evening held in the Masonic Hail, Broadway South ou Monday night. The wiping table comprise* Mesdaim s Mtu,- Carter and Messrs. Wade and Brown. The music for dancing was supplied by Mrs, Max with an extra by Miss M. Brown. Amongst those present were; Mesdames Max, Carter, Stallard, Beale, T. Hcaly, Gander, Brown, Misses P. and C. Sharrock, P. Crowe, L. and N. Nelson. V. Stallard, E. Petersen, B. and M. Brown, J Anstis, E. Col lias, K Bonner, C. Pugh.
A large number of dancers was present .at. . the. dance hold in the Pembroke Road Hall on Tuesday night by the Pembroke .branch of the Women's Division •of the Farmers’ Union. The music -tor dancing was supplied by Silvers’ Sunbeam orchestra. Amongst those present were; Mesdames Belcher, Haim, ■ Hunt, Chard, McCracken (2), Kemsley, Mason, Walker, Verney, Wickstead (2), Hancock; Wfel.llngton, Tomlyn. Seaman, Oakley, Cooper, Ban ball, Mason. Misses Faulkner (2), K'-ms-iey (2). Boyd, Skoglund, Kelly, Cooper, Jones, U., Mills, E. Sheehan, T. Miller, Allan (2). Z. and O. Aagaard, Belcher, Lee, Mumby (2), Silver (2). Trotter, Raynor, Symons, Pratt, Cannon (2), Kehely, Stallard, H. Marsh.
