Although fat. as stjch, is often beneficial to a child’s growth, it must be remembered that fat is hard to digest and that, therefore, it should be given in small quantities. This applies not only to the fat of meat, let us say, but also to oils of all kinds—olive oil, cod liver oil and the like. The same applies even to rich milk, cream and Children who bear fat particularly badly should never eat it three times a day.
