HOSPITAL BOARD CANDIDATES.
(To the Editor.) Sir. —In perusing your valued paper a few nights- ago 1 noticed (hat the country candidates for the Stratford Hospital Board had been asked by one district t° take the platform, and express their views- on the various attitude they would take in the running of the institution should they | lie elected. Now,, Sir, as- a town elector it has I struck me very forcibly In the last j few days that, judging by the mini- j her of candidates who have come for- ■ ward and offered themselves for elec- j .lion, that there is a definite issue ' at stake, and rumour has it that J should new members ho elected, ra-1 dical changes in the administration; may take place, but just as to what 1 their changes may take the form of, j we as electors arc to be left totally 1 in the dark until they are elected. j lu electing our parliamentary can- ■ didate we first are allowed lo hear ' his policy, and as (he local hospital | election, may perhaps affect us just 1 as much as the first mentioned, might I suggest that the town follow the lead of the country and invite the various candidates to state just what their intended actions will he it elected, which course, to my mind would be very enlightening. In am, etc.
