CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
ELECTION PROTEST Press Association— Copyright Christchurch, May 10. A protest against the election of Miss Howard (Labour) to the City Council was lodged with the returning officer by the Citizens' Association. It is understood the Citizens' Association claims that Miss Howard is not an elector of the city, and the nomination was not in order. . It is believed that the qualification oi Mr. E. J. Howard, M.P., father of Miss Howard, who was certain for election to the Harbour Board, has also been challenged by the association. Mr. and Miss Howard both reside outside the city.
