COMMUNICATION RE-ES-TABLISHED
OHURA AND TAUMARUNUI Press Association. —Copyright. Taumarunui, May 8. Communication by railway between Taumarunui and Ohura was re-estab-lished yesterday after weeks of interruption, due to the huge mass of debris which had to he removed from the Stratford line, particularly from the long tunnel at Okahukura. It was reported that the line would be re-cpened next Friday, but apparently the work was completed sooner than was estimated and the first train with passengers from Ohura since th<flood damage to the line some weeks ago came through last evening, connecting with the Fiankton train arriving at Taumarunui at 7 o'clock.
