ANTI-JEWISH RIOTS
AT VIENNA UNIVERSITY exceptionalHbrutality Press Association —Copyright London, May 10. Anti-Jewish riots of exceptional brutality started at the Vienna University to-day, states the Vienna correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. Thirty- students were injured, including seven American doctors studying at Vienna, who have lodged a protest with the American consulate. The police stopped disorders in the streets, but an ancient privilege prevented them going into the universities, where Nazi students armed with sticks studded with nails attacked Jewish Socialists and foreign students, who jumped from the windows into the streets, their faces streaming with blood. A serious aspect of the Austrian situation is that the civil service is undermined by the Nazi movement.
