The Saskatoon Age states that 25 unemployed were charged with rioting following the death of a Royal Canadian Mounted police officer. Inspector L. J. Sampson, who was hit by a rock and dragged by his bolting horse, when 50 men refused to leave camp for work in Regina. There was a pitched battle when the ejected men stormed the dining hall.
