WELL-ATTENDED PRACTICES

A meeting of the Stratford branch Of the . St. John Ambulance Association was held at the A. and P. board room on Monday night when Mr. A. H. R. Amess presided over about 30 members.

The secretary, Mr. Buckley, reported that ;he roll was rapidly increasing and now numbered 30, which showed that the movement was being keenly supported, while the weekly practices held on Tuesday evenings at the board room were being enthusiastically attended. The chairman stated that circulars had been sent to various sporting clubs with a view of soliciting their support and financial aid in view of the fact that the work of administering first-aid on sporting fields and at public attractions was given gratis and the expense of procuring equipment would be a difficult source at Jgret, In conclusion Mr. Amess said that he felt sure the various bodies would give the local branch support when it was considered that the movement -was in the general community’s interests. ,
