The Stratford Chib COMPETITIONS CONCLUDED At the week-end Stratford Bowling Club competitions were concluded for the season. I The Easter .pairs competition was completed and resulted in Lyons and Healy defeating W. Ewing and Anderson 5 up in the final. The winners of the four sections participated and the results were:
Lyons and Healy 14 defeated S, Ewing and Tunhicliff 11. "W. Ewing and Anderson 14 defeat ed Lawson and Porritt 12. Final
Lyons and Healy 18 beat W. Ewing and Anderson 13.
Wfrile-the Easter pairs play off-was in progress the final was also decided in the D. J. Malone trophy rink competition. A very close game resulted between Stokes, Douglas, Higgs j Liddell and Curtis, Butcher, T. T. Skoglund, Sanderson, the first-named team winning by 8 points to 7 and taking the hamper that formed the prize. Playing very good bowls, R. R. Curtis won the Pridham gold medal for the most improved colt. Three young bowlers were selected to play for the trophy. Curtis beat Sutton by one point on an' extra head after tying in the game proper. Curtis then played Healy and again emerged the victor after a most interesting match.
